Neuroprognosis
Researchers in the Dyslexia Center have ongoing projects identifying neuroimaging (in combination with genetic, behavioral, and environmental) markers that predict whether children will develop dyslexia even before the children start showing signs of struggling to read. We aim to continue and expand upon these techniques to advance the efficacy and knowledge of precursors of dyslexia, which prove crucial to early intervention and improved quality of life overall.
Growth Charts for Brain Networks
In collaboration with research labs from around the world, we are currently constructing growth charts for the reading brain network, similar to those one would find a doctor’s office for height and weight. The goals of this project are to construct and test the usefulness of these growth charts in the clinical setting.
